Bent Creek Institute: The Institute (BCI) champions, catalyzes, facilitates and coordinates research, business development and market opportunities for North Carolina specialty crop growers and botanical medicine developers and processors. Combining traditional knowledge of medicinal plants with validated science, Bent Creek develops new intellectual property leading to proprietary products for new business creation, existing business expansion and improved profitability, and the attraction and site location of natural product and botanical medicine manufacturing companies.
BioNetwork: The BioNetwork BioBusiness Center is a statewide resource supporting growth of the natural products and life science industries in North Carolina. The Center works with partners in economic development, industry and the community college system to provide support in business services that help entrepreneurs, start-up and early stage businesses understand regulatory requirements and begin manufacturing and marketing value-added natural products; tailored education, workforce development and outreach activities that develop skills and foster growth and awareness of the natural products and life science industries in North Carolina; and critical analytical laboratory services, equipment and wet laboratory facilities to assist small businesses with product development and to provide analytical testing services.
Blue Ridge Food Ventures: BRFV is an 11,000 sq. ft. shared-use kitchen incubator and natural products manufacturing facility that offers support in product development, guidance through the maze of regulations governing safe production of food products and dietary supplements, advice on packaging and label design, and much more.
Small Business Technology and Development Center: The SBTDC is North Carolina's leading resource for growing and developing businesses. SBTDC's highly skilled professionals, its position as a program of The University of North Carolina System, and partnership with the U.S. Small Business Administration make it a unique and valued asset in the economic development of North Carolina.
